Application

As with any technology, it is typically more important how you use the technology than the technology or related product by itself. Application of technology may be the single largest opportunity for increased profits in molding today.

Tailored Solutions

Our team of Product Engineers, Programmers, Service Technicians and Project Managers are available for consultation and execution of tailored solutions that fit your company?s requirements. Some examples of customers who have benefited from our ability to listen and respond to their requirements:

  • Berry Plastics ? We changed the open thermocouple alarm program at their request
  • Rehrig Pacific ? Modified our module design for faster fuse replacement, updated our alarm screen for improved readability and added additional diagnostic information
  • Denso ? Remote Run and Stop. Alarm output.
  • JCI ? Enhanced cabinet design to their preferences

These are just a few examples of how Fast Heat has adapted an existing design to a special environment. There are many more examples of custom cables, connectors, transformers, racks, voltage inputs, phase indicators, etc.

Fast Heat will receive ISO certification this year. We also employ lean techniques and have a significant number of people on staff with Six Sigma and Lean expertise. We share this skill set with our customers to find optimal ways to use our technology.

Inputs/Outputs

Often times the biggest payoff comes from the most simple idea or action. Our remote I/O package is designed for simple communication with the injection molding machine, robots, conveyors and other auxiliaries. These simple contact relays or voltage signals (to your specification) can be used to prevent cold shooting, stop a robot, idle the temperature of the hot runner when the machine stops cycling for a set period, boost the hot runner just before a tool change in pre-heat applications, etc. The possibilities and rewards are endless.

File Storage

Fast Heat will pre-set recipes for you. A recipe is complete with tool grouping, zone naming, zone parameters (set-point limits, boost, idle) and automated start-up functions. This saves you time, prevents errors, minimized energy costs and optimizes production. The interaction on our Pulse II systems couldn?t be easier. Copy/Paste templates, alpha/numeric naming and automatic saving make file management easy; even for the operator who is not comfortable with electronic controls. The Pulse system is even easier; just select File 1, 2, 3 etc.

Data Reporting

The Pulse II HRC is fully capable of exporting as much process data as you may require. Some basic downloads might include set-point vs. actual over a specific time frame. All data exporting will be set specifically for your requirements by our engineering team. More basic reporting is easily produced by using the printer functions. Reports includes set-point vs. actual snapshots, screen shots and alarm reports (automatically prints when set to the instruction).

Product Development Partnerships

Fast Heat is seeking long term partnerships with innovative molding companies and industry leaders. We are committed to providing innovative products and services that shape the future of our industry. This insures long term success for your company and ours. That is why we strive to be an extension of your management team. We encourage you to share your business challenges with us so that we may offer the full benefits of a strong partnership.
